Every time theres maintenance, we get 20 of these posts.

Are they too dumb to check the other 19 (typically poorly written) locked posts?

At least do a search for 'destiny 2 server status' before you go asking randos on steam.

I was about to give the game another shot after being gone for a year. This post helped me out.

Also if this is a constant problem maybe they should have a pinned thread at the top of the forums that says "SERVER STATUS" and has updated server status inside. Might solve the problem.

Its not a 'constant problem'. Every update is on a Tuesday morning. Every weekly reset is the same, 10am EST on Tuesday.

Literally the most cursory internet search would explain this.

You are correct, and I agree, that it's absurd the mods don't have this info pinned in the steam forum.
They are too busy locking threads asking about server status to do that, apparently.
They are as bad as Bungie.

Bungie has not updated their server status page on twitter in half a decade.

Verify game files.

You can often trigger the update before it's pushed on steam.

It's now 10am PST so it should be back soon.

But I'd give them another hour.

it is a constant problem when their stated downtime window is never accurate. It's usually 2-3 hours longer than what they originally state, and then don't give any updates while we sit and wait.
