I'm hyped for the Star Wars stuff

I'm not a keen Destiny player, all the times I've played had been with a casual mindset, the DLCs were too expensive though and I had to stop playing because I didn't wanted to spend that much money on a game I don't play all the time.

I've always wandered how good Star Wars would fit in Destiny, you could see the clear inspiration for the Warlocks being literally just Jedis, and when they first announced Star Wars skins I was kinda hyped, but it was a total let down, only clone and average soldier skins for every class, that was SO BAD I didn't even thought about coming back to the game.
The DLC that is coming later this year though? That looks promising, finally lightsabers will make their way into this futuristic game.

Regardless of people saying "pleez don't make this fornight" I'm pretty hyped for content that I have loved since I was a kid, Destiny is a pretty unique game and having stuff related to Star Wars just makes it objectively better. I will probably come back to the game when that DLC drops, but the price is still a major drawback from all of this, I like the game but it's not like I want (or currently can) spend that much money for content that will probably last only 3 months.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think Destiny will thrive with the new things they are going to put in the game? Of course I don't think the game will die, but I'm curious to know if people still have hope for the game after becoming seassonal content slop with a price of a full game. Not to mention, they will totally erase that content one day, so what gives? I'm very conflicted but I would really like to enjoy the game...

Hopefully Disney has nothing to do with it beyond licensing.

As long as it's a Destiny story and not a Star Wars story, it could be really good. I am personally looking forward to it.

Not really, Clone Wars season 7 came when Star Wars was already Disney's, yeah sure most of the new movies/shows are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and all that, but the source material is still there and I don't think that people outside Disney are so dumb to market and use the ♥♥♥♥ Disney has done

Most likely it will be original, for sure there will be an ocasional reference or easter egg, but afaik it's Star Wars inspired, which makes sense in a universe like Destiny to have things similar to Star Wars

I can't fault your logic here. Desting has "space magic", races from around the galaxy, conflict. I think inspired by is great, I just hope they only did inspired by. Still looking forward to it and kind of excited. I now, at my age I should go easy to the excitement. LOL
