Is there a trick to Warlocks glide?

I'm stuck on the Transmigration mission. Trying to get up back up high when you leap across after getting 2nd dark orb thinghy. I just can't get enough height and always fall to my death.

warlock glide is rlly rlly annoying at first but honestly idk if I can go back. the glide gives you more height if you are already on an upward trajectory. so you want to activate your glide towards the beginning of your jump to get the most altitude. it continues your current direction.

Start with an immediate double jump and start regulating the direction and height by moving and cancelling and reenabling the glide. You can cancel and restart it twice in mid-air, use burst glide.

Unlike Titan and Hunter, where you can wait until top of your initial, regular jump to hit your super jump, Warlock HAS to double tap jump so they get all the initial upward momentum from their regular jump transferred into their Glide. Otherwise, you'll gracefully float down to your death.

There isn't a trick but you get used to it of course.

If you need a crutch, use mountaintop + eager edge + icarus dash + strafe glide + heat rises + starfire for more heat rises grenades.
