The Nether is god awful

its terrible to lock stuff behind an area that is entirely rng and can load into the same are literally 15+ times with no change making it impossible to make quest progress.

i feel your pain it took me hours just to get to the Stourns for the last sithing worm that i needed for the dyad catalyst... they should have given us the option to decide where to spawn in like srlsly they give us a mode called Nether EXPLORE how tf are we supposed to explore if they literally deny us to do so...

Based on the assumed Bungie “QA processes” I delay to play new content by at least 1 week.

You can't load into Hull Breach or The Fonts (the main 2 areas needed for the target lock catalyst) so you have to AT LEAST get to 2nd encounter. It seems that Breach is more common on the 3rd cycle, but that might just be anecdotal.

If you already have the other Convalescences, you only need to get HB twice (once for each set of worms).

It took six hours of running the first encounter before i got a single hull breach, its taken another 3 hours and still have not gotten the fount so i can get the last worm, this is just downright terrible game design.

you need the current sesson then it will apear on the map in the last city.

theres a skip to get to the new area but yeah its stupid how rng it is. Again bungie artificially extending player engagement cause the content is so minimal. On top of that Ive been getting constant disconnects that end my nether runs early and same with court of blades STILL getting soft locked and unable to progress, making it near impossible to get the adept masterwork weapons i still need. They did make it better by giving us 3 perks in columns 3 and 4 once you are completely maxed rank on both paths at the shaping slab. It just very frustrating when things constantly arent working like they are supposed to. I just cant imagine being a someone with only being able to play 5-8 hours a week. You know, most of us with full time jobs and a family to raise and be present with. Now here come the replies " what do you expect?" or "you just want everything hand fed to you" or "you want to play destiny 2 without actually playing destiny 2"

Honestly, I gave up on the Barrow-Dyad catalyst quest. It's such a huge time sink, grindy and contains absolutely horrible RNG elements, all for a gun that is meh at best. Sorry Bungie, respect my time more.

Thats why i personally just dont even bother with this type of grind, I do play to have fun in the end.
