Question, how to farm Solipsism

I have purchased a total of 15 Solipsism from Xur with strange coins.

I still haven't received the perk combination that I want.

I have never done the Dual Destiny secret quest, and I don't want to do it.

Can I get it as a drop from any other activities, or chests? Or, do I have to complete Dual Destiny once first?

Exotic class items can only be unlocked through the Dual Destiny mission. You can look up guides for that. Once you have it in your Collections, you can purchase it from Xur every other week, complete subsequent runs of Dual Destiny for a single drop each week, and you also have a low chance of getting them from Overthrow chests.

Question, since I have gotten 15 solipsims already (both from Holloween Event, and Xur), shouldn't it be unlocked already (I am afk and will check anyway) ?

Or, Dual Destiny is the only way to officially unlock it.

If you got it from the event it means its unlocked allowing you to purchase from Xur and also farming the chests/Overthrow event in the Pale Heart.

Correct. That is only available to those who completed Dual Destiny to get.
