if i had good luck i wouldnt be here. I seriously wonder if its broken to be honest, i have not had the cape drop either and the focusing machine is broken for me even though i have the catalyst quest completed, it wont drop any guns or armor parts, the box doesnt give anything.

It's not. Everything in Destiny 2 is based off a RNG (random Number Generator), so it's just down to pure luck if you get it. If it was broken, nobody would have it and there would be numerous complaints.

Some people get the high end rewards in their first game, others have to play hundreds before they get it. It' just pure luck, nothing else. You're just having a case of bad luck, nothing else.

Are you also doing it multiple times per character each week? The newest dungeons will not let you have more than 3 chances per week (1 per character) whereas the featured dungeons let you try as much as you want.

I hopped on to try the new dungeon
got icebreaker first try havent opened the game since

New dungeon drops on the 7th of Feb (or somewhere close, I can't remember exactly) and Vesper's Host will enter the 'dungeon of the week' rotation and Icebreaker will become farmable. When that comes around, saddle up with a good team and just start hitting the boss over and over with your favourite character, saving the checkpoint on an alt so you can just keep loading back in.

Depending on how much of the puzzle / quest content you've done for the dungeons, you'll need a few more runs, or at least one more full run of the dungeon to get the catalyst anyway.

I did. Got to the final boss and went through 13 different teams trying for over 7 hours and failed.

yep, i have done this dungeon 3 times every single week since release.
