Encore: Choir of One catalyst quest bugged? (No conflux)

Hi,

i cannot get the Choir of One catalyst since the conflux for the first secret chest won't spawn for me.
Played encore twice now, got Choir of One and a quest "Legacy: Choir eternal".

Also i can only play "Encore: Overture".

Did i miss a quest step somewhere or did i need to do something with Failsafe in the last saison, which i did not do?
Any help is appreciated.

Right near the start of the mission there is a secret chest that requires you to shoot a number of Vex node thingies. This activates the two confluxes that appear later in the mission; one at the midway point which is linked to the intrinsic perk upgrades, one before the final boss which is linked to the catalysts. You have to activate this first one every time you play the mission, if you want any of the other secret chests.

The other variants of Encore become available as you progress Act 3's questline.

i'm missing some Failsafe progress and have nothing in my quests bar for it

Hmmm. Actually now I think about it, chest 1, the transit network hub chest, does require some progress to be made on the 7th research task.
You should have picked up the specimen during Encore, it was mandatory, but you don't get the actual quest for it immediately.

Do you have a quest called 'A Rising Chorus: Act III'?

i had "a rising chorus" at some point, don't remember which one, don't have a quest now.
Saw the first conflux when i ran Encore expert with an LFG group but they didn't do it, so maybe it works if someone on the fireteam has it done. Gonna try LFG again then

Seasonal challenges - Episode: Echoes - i don't have "Complete Act I, II, III of "A rising chorus", that's why.
Got some progress with an LFG group. Opened all 3 confluxes, quest "Legacy choir upheaval" says "Expert completed" and that i now need to open the second secret chest, even though i just did that, so at least it counted the first one.
So if someone has "A rising chorus" not done, LFG is the way to go

I can see in your triumphs (Episode: Echoes/Ritual/Quests) that you've completed Act I ('Nessian Echoes') and Act II ('Quantified Impact') but not Act III ('A New Golden Age'.)

You need to locate the Act III quest, wherever it is (Quest Archive, your Quest Log, or Failsafe) and progress it, or you're going to be stuck on this part.

You've been playing 'Encore: Overture', which is the Week 1 variant of Encore.
In this variant, only the first intrinsic upgrade is available, and the first catalyst chest.

Access to the Week 2 (Encore: Crescendo) and Week 3 (Encore: Coda) versions of Encore, within which the second and third set of upgrades are locked behind, come from 'Rising Chorus Act III' progress.

As for the wording on the catalyst quests, it is horribly misleading.

There are 7 secret chests in the activity, as per your triumphs. Chest 1 is the one you get from activating the transit network at the beginning of the mission. Chests 2, 4 and 6 are accessible from the first portal conflux, at the midpoint of the activity. These contain the 'Command Frame' intrinsic upgrades, and as I mentioned above, Chest 4 requires access to Crescendo or Coda, and Chest 6 requires access to Coda.

Chests 3, 5 and 7 are the three chests referred to as first, second and third in the catalyst quests, and these are accessible through the second conflux, before the final boss. Similarly, Chest 5 requires access to Crescendo or Coda, and Chest 7 requires access to Coda.

You've opened all three of the chests available to you in Encore: Overture, Chests 1, 2 and 3, now you need to continue the Rising Chorus questline to get access to Encore: Crescendo, and chests 4 and 5 for the next intrinsic and next catalyst.

thx alot, that was it. before the old quest was not in the quest log, now it was, don't know what triggered it. But now i can progress :)
