There are multiple ways you can find people to play with in Destiny 2. I've listed a few below, hope this helps!
- Steam community LFG forum. Found here.
- The official Destiny 2 companion app. Download it here.[www.bungie.net]
- The official Bungie.net website LFG forum. Found here.[www.bungie.net]
- The Destiny 2 community LFG Discord server. Found here.[discord.gg]
- The in-game LFG tool. Full details here.[help.bungie.net]
You're welcome.
Good luck with whatever activity you're trying to play. If you need more help, just ask. :)

For Fireteam Finder, you can find this by going over to your friends list. You can search for different players using tags, so if you're a new player wanting to do a mission you've never done before, it would be best to use the "First Time" tag which you can find via the filter options when you've selected the mission you want to do.
I hope this helps a little in your search, good luck!
That was even a thing on their website last night, but I can now log in so that likely works now too.
