How do I fix error "weasel????????"
Its getting very annoying

I did every suggestion ever for this error. After light fall came out, it finally stopped for me. The number 1 thing it tells you, is that you are signed in on multiple accounts. which was weird because steam was the only account I was using. My PlayStation account hasn't been logged into in years. Who knows, you might get lucky and that is your issue.

the majority of the time, these error codes are false positives and have been an ongoing issue for a very long time now and not much you can do aside from wait on Bungie to figure out how to fix their infrastructure.

in the event you are actually getting the error code due to an issue on your end, you can check out the link below for information about the error code from Bungie's website (though not much is offered in terms of resolution - basically if on wifi, try using a wired connection instead)

might be late, but i tried everything on the internet. youtube videos, guides, changing my modem/router, resetting everything, changing my NAT type. hours and hours of fixes and nothing worked, i was getting weaseled about 10 minutes after launch. Then a simple fix took care of everything. VPN. I tested nord vpn and immediately noticed no issues. no more "contacting servers" and error codes. Only issue with using a vpn is that it caused voice chat to no longer work. So i disabled the vpn after about 2 months and i havent gotten an error code yet. TRUST ME, get a vpn asap

Sergeant_Fett, your solution needs to be at the top of this forum, for real. I've been having the same exact issue since Lightfall dropped. Constant disconnects. At times not even able to play for more than 10 minutes without my connection dropping even when I've played entire seasons without a single error code. Today I used a 7 day trial on a vpn just to see if it would help and I've played for about 10 hours consecutively without a SINGLE disconnect. You're the man.
