Sorry for the late response, but yeah if you had the first 2 dlc's and those campaign missions. You can not do those anymore you lost them :/ sadly. I know it sucks.
Forsaken and above are the only campaigns in the game.
No, you will not be able to continue playing a vaulted campaign.
What you purchase is an access license. That license gives you access to the content for the duration of its service lifetime. The service lifetime remains the sole province of the IP owner (Bungie in this case) to determine. The IP owner retains all ownership rights.
That by the way is the way ALL EULAs and TOSs for all online games work. In fact, a slightly modified version of that is also how all offline games work.
Do also note that none of the campaigns that Bungie has vaulted have been less than 3 years old at the time they were vaulted.
The Forsaken campaign was vaulted when Witch Queen was released (along with the Tangled Shore location and all but one of the Tangled Shore strikes.
The Dreaming City location and the other strikes and raid from Forsaken remains, but the campaign is gone.

Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen are the three playable campaigns currently in the game.
You do not own the campaign. You own an access license. If Bungie decides to vault something, your access license becomes invalid. Those are the Terms of Service.

Then what is the Awakening mission on the Dreaming City?
In the past, when Bungie has announced that a campaign is going to be vaulted, they have made it available as FTP content.
The Red War, The Curse of Osiris and Warmind were all available as FTP content before they were vaulted. That window closed in November of 2019 when Beyond Light was released.
The Forsaken Campaign was available as FTP content for 3 or 4 months from the end of 2021 up until February 2022 when Witch Queen was released.
We do not actually know if they're going to vault anything else. They may, but they also may not. The next time something would be vaulted will be when the Year 6 content package (Called Lightfall) is released. That's at least a year from now.
If something is going to be vaulted (at that time) they'll announce in the the TWAB articles:
https://www.bungie.net/en-us/news
I don't know, might be something old, might be something new, I'm not really sure.
The Forsaken campaign was the Death of Cayde-6 and the burning trail of vengeance that Petra Venj and "The Guardian" inflict on the Scorn (and Uldren Sov (the brother of Queen Mara)). That's gone (vaulted).
Not "might". The ones they make FTP are the ones that they are planning to Vault.
They'll make an announcement in the TWAB articles if they're going to vault something and what its status will be up until that point: https://www.bungie.net/en-us/news
As I said, it'll be about a year before that's likely to be an issue again.
