Rockets were High B/Low A tier prior to Gjally being added, and even then, still were often outclassed by LFRs. The 15% Lightfall nerf would be fully undone if there was a new exotic that allowed them to deal anything above 15% more damage.
Each example given here would either be game breaking or unusable. Giving LMGs extra fire rate would be absurd when you consider options such as Retrofit Escapade or Commemoration.
Giving LFRs an Izzy shot would be insane, given how Izzy has no perks and yet is still S-tier for DPS, having a heavy ammo Izzy with Bait and Switch would allow for bonkers damage strats.
GLs are where rockets were prior to Gjally, so this is the one justifiable addition. But really a flat buff to the archetype would feel better.
TL;DR: Gjally has created a DPS meta where one player is always shoved into using a certain weapon, and replicating that for other weapon types would be problematic and lead to all DPS options feeling same-y and homogeneous.
Two tailed fox is really fun, but Gjally can fire off two rockets quickly and they do it way better
The new hothead is coming out, looks SUPER dope, buuuuut there already exists a better solar rocket launcher, betcha can't guess the name
Eyes of Tomorrow? Yeah Gjally is still better
Gjallahorn is one of my least used exotics purely for the fact it's almost all I ever see in terms of heavy exotics.
