In a nutshell: any of the warlock helms except Skull of Dire Ahamkara (iirc it was kinda meh) and Astrocyte Verse (improves blink and AE, I believe, but blink can be annoying anyway).
Gloves: Ophidian Aspect for pvp, Sunbreakers for solar subclass (solar nades specifically), Getaway Artist for arc souls, Contraverse Hold for default Warlock void nades, Aeon Soul for optional fireteam support in endgame PvE, Osmiomancy Gloves for Stasis, Necrotic Grip for any subclass (but use with poison weapons like Le Monarque or Osteo Striga, I think they stack) or Stasis turretz
Chest: Starfire Protocol (currently OP enough to warrant a nerf), Phoenix Protocol. Mantle of Battle Harmony + Ager's Sceptre (catalyzed) trace rifle is excellent for Stasis.
Legs: Transversive Steps.
For Void Many like using Nezarec's Sin with devour builds. I prefer Contraverse Hold for quick Grenade regen and spamming with charged Vortex Grenades. Necrotic Grip can also make some interesting things happen when you tag enemies with the melee skill.
For Arc Crown of Tempests or Fallen Sunstar can work pretty good for a variety of situations.
I'm not great with Solar suggestions as I rarely play it. Though Sunbreacers let you spam grenades for a time if you get a melee skill kill. There are a few Solar pieces that focus on the Well or Rift healing capabilities but I'm not familiar with how to build for them.
For Stasis the only one i use currently is the Osmiomancy Gloves, combine their perks w/ the stasis tracers and you'll have infinite freezing going on. You can use the Rift Aoe Freeze aspect and combine it with The Vesper of Radius for an interesting close range combo blast.
With Strand is depends on the build type, Currently there's a "suspend and melt" build with Necrotic Grips and the Bola Grenade or a Threadling centric spec using the Swarmers boots. There could be others but those are the two i'm familiar with.
For Solar, Sunbreakers and Starfire Protocol far outclass the other solar exotics. Starfire is the go-to for Wellocks, in general, and is so metagame-dominant (after like 12-18 months) that Bungie is "changing" them this year, probably next season.
Striga has it's own poison explosion and damage effect, you can stack it with Necrotic Grip but you have to hit the target with Grips separately. Thorn however will cause a Necrotic Grip explosion from the enemies on kill if you have both equipped. Thorn's poison ticks causing a death though I don't believe proc the Grips poison explosion.
Sorry, but we need to nip some terminology in the bud here. Everytime I see "ads" I gotta remind people, as one of the first to question what it really meant back when it was popularized in early D1. It's supposed to be "adds," seeing as how we all know what it really means: additional [minor] mobs spawned during a fight (usually partway through an encounter).
The misspelling happens so much that probabilistically it's no longer a typo. Lol
I don't disagree, its a term used in a LOT of MMO type coop games. i usually correct myself when i make that typo, but am not perfect.
Indeed, each one has a particular play style they favor/.
Most important thing is find how you like playing the character and build accordingly.
It's no biggie, it's just that I've seen the typo so much lately that I'd bet money some people are actually thinking they're not making a typo. They themselves probably saw the word typo'd somewhere else so many times that they might think the typo is correct - it's how most of us learn words out in the field, even as adults, whether those words are correct or not.
Etymology and similar "word studies" are a passing hobby of mine, lol. It's quite interesting to learn how and why words possibly morphed over periods of time, varying by geography and demographics.
