When the **** in **** are warlocks gonna get a real melee role
Nothing is special or rewarding
Void has a ball that shoots out with "tracking" and short range and it does less damage than normal melee
solar rougly the same idea
Arc even longer range or the only real warlock melee that has any identity but even then its only when ur amplified
stasis which is like all other stasis abilities
And ofcourse base melee we have longest range, which i dont notice unless i use the one exotic which extents it further and even then despite having range all other melee are faster so its pointless to have any range

Like here lets say two people are at 1 standard melee away from death
Im as a warlock with my longer range should win that right...
no cuz he melee the air, my melee moves me into his range and we both die
Either warlock should have real extended range meaning we actually punches air and hits people or we need a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ new melee role

BECAUSE WARLOCKS HAS NOTHING SPECIAL OR INTERESTING WITH OUR MELEES

TLDR: warlocks range is bs and all other classes already have abilities that does that and better

You are over a year late. It is actually your fault you are losing slap fights now, not your class.

"Warlocks have been losing slap fights for too long. Yes, up until now, Warlocks haven’t been able to melee back-to-back as quickly as Titans and Hunters. NO MORE! With the 30th Anniversary, Warlocks will be able to melee just as quickly as Titans and Hunters. We’re also removing the 1m range extension Warlocks received to compensate. We still think the idea of each class having unique qualities to their melee is interesting, but we want to do it in a way that won’t cause one class to consistently lose slap fights. Maybe someday in the future.

Uncharged Melee
Reduced melee range from 5.5m to 4.5m (now matches Hunter and Titan).
Reduced suppression time after melee (can now melee back-to-back at the same speed as Hunter and Titan). " -THIS WEEK AT BUNGIE – 11/18/2021

Now that adresses the range and attack speed, which i still highly doubt is currently working as intended based on my testing
still dosent change the fact that all the charged melees which are the key part of their identity which was like 90% of my post but its nice u wanted to be a smartass and focus on that tiny part

And with ophidian apsects which does increase range my point is still valid with range arguement

on the one hand they fixed range and speed.

on the other chain lightning literally does less than unpowered melee and you die for it.
