How is Mars back in season of the Sereph?

Just got back to the game, thought it got eaten by giant dorito. Did it get spat out? Did I miss something?

I just realised, and genuinely forgot it came back from the campaign lmao, my bad. Why can't we patrol or do anything on it, besides it being apart of a Heist BG or for that Crafting area camp?

I hate to break it to you. I don't think they are going to return it fully. Mars was really, really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dull and it just ate up space. What I personally think we will see is that certain aspects of mars will return in strikes, missions, etc as we have seen this season with the seasonal event and the dungeon. However, I dont think we will ever see Mars the free roam destination return.

Point is, that the version of Mars that came back is covered in temporal rifts, some of which show desolate modern Mars, and some of which show lush, golden age Mars. It's considered unstable.

I don't think space is the issue anymore. Its just that mars ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked. It offerred nothing. It was to small to be a true free roam planet, Escalation protocal has been replaced by Altars, and strikes can be added without the full planet. Therefore there is no reason to bring back the entire thing. It just makes more sense for the devs to bring it back in chunks in improved mission style content.
