Athrys Embrace of Calibans hand?

Trying to figure out which is the better option. I'm enjoying athrys embrace cause i can use the weighted knife with one two punch shotgun but not sure about calibans

Athrys for good burst damage, and Calibans for ad clear

Depends on your build, if all you want is ignitions then Athrys is most likely a better option, specially if you use it with exotic weapons that can scorch enemies, Caliban is also not that good on content where enemies have a large health bar, but for general content it's not that bad, specially because you can recover your class ability by burning enemies and spam your melee as long as you have enemies close to you

Calibans is better for ignition no? you don't need to pair it with weapon that can scorch you just need to kill them with the explosive knife, most of the time you throw a knife and everything explodes and on GM you just need to lower the enemy health and everything explodes.

but yes i wouldnt use calibans on GM cause its just a hassle prepping to kill a group of enemy + no solar seasonal mods that make big ignition, on most content calibans ez boom boom
