sudden drop in effectiveness?

Can someone tell me why I have begun to notice a sudden and drastic drop in effectiveness across the board? I am using pretty much the same weapons I have used since yesterday, some are exactly the same except the light level is higher. But now, all the sudden, today I notice my weapons are doing a lot less DPS, a lot less damage while hitting, and for some reason I seem to be getting 2 shotted a lot. The only thing I can think of that happened different is my light level is getting higher, and I have ranked up in some... challenges? IDK what you call them, the gambit guild and some other guilds. is this just what happens naturally?

The biggest problem I have is when there was an invader in gambit, we seemed to be shooting eachother with similar weapons, but I got wasted and he did not, why?

Just realized, this appears to be only happening in gambit. Is it because I have been ranking up? Do you get handicapped the farther up you go

Gambit naturally has stronger enemies that I have noticed, They do this to prevent godly ad clear weapons from slaying out, Afaik It has stronger ads than even raids do.

Just realized, this appears to be only happening in gambit. Is it because I have been ranking up? Do you get handicapped the farther up you go

Gambit has a system where it will spawn harder enemies for teams with grouped up players. you might just be getting matched with duos or trios and they make the enemies harder.

Hmm ok so, I have just been joining randomly. You are saying if I join a group that was previously grouped before they entered the gambit, I get gimped? So that would explain why sometimes I seem to be a lot more powerful

Yes. Though it's not necessarily you getting more powerful, rather the enemies are sometimes weaker or stronger depending on how the balancing system decides. This system is in place to slow down stacked teams so that they can't kill enemies too fast and leave solo players in the dust (not that they don't have an advantage regardless).
