Quicksilver Storm Exotic weapon

I was thinking about making a pre-purchase just to get the Quicksilver Storm Exotic weapon.

I watched some videos on YouTube and it looks pretty awesome.

Questions:

1. is it one of the best weapons end game?
2. How does it compare to other end game weapons?

This is being sold as one of the best auto-rifles in game.

Yes. It's basically my incentive to make that purchase. I'm not asking if pre-ordering is worth it though, I don't care about the money. I care more about the weapon itself and how good it is.

A friend or mine got it.
Its a very solid autorifle with a hint of mountaintop but without blast radius.
Good at medium range add clear and the grenades help kill yellows among the crowd.

Its not meta and won‘t outclass heavies but its very fun to use and really good for an autorifle

Thanks. Since it's not meta, I can pass on the $99.99. Glad it's not a pay 2 win item, sounds like it's just fun.

I like the design and animations, but it's subjective. Numbers are good in PvE, GL does high damage, rocket is arc, but there're other primaries that can compete with specials damage (Vex, Hawkmoon, Tarrabah, ToM etc.), so it's not that unique. There're also much better add clear weapons. Catalyst won't be available until LF release. No idea what it will do.

In PvP it probably has highest stats among 720s, so it feels good, but perks barely do anything. Rocket might help finish your target, but it has travel time and tracking is meh, so you're more likely to kiil the target while the rocket is flying. GL mode is slow as hell, does low damage (95 on direct hit) and has the lowest splash radius possible.

It's a good weapon, but I would not buy deluxe just for this weapon alone.

Don’t buy deluxe just for Quicksilver It’s good, but not crazy. More importantly , if it’s like every other preorder exotic, you’ll get it in a season or two just for having the expansion.

I got it, but the biggest fan, maybe when they release a ctalyst it gets better, but now it feels a bit underwhelming in end game content.

Its a fun "3-in-1" weapon in any other lower end content though.

1: No.
2: Other exotics are better and more important in endgame, you don't want to waste an exotic slot for a mediocre autorifle.

if you got a free exo slot its a good gun

Thanks so much guys, this is really a great community. Day 1 someone just friended me to help walk me through the starting zone and show me the basics. Game takes me back to the original Halo, but it's on such a large scale.

I have no problem paying for content, I am still doing Free to Play, ***That said, is the best consumer transaction for a new player to simply get the latest expansion? I just want to be smart with how I spend my money and my first purchase

I couldn't use it during vault of glass.

it can be good in pvp like the rifel not the launcher and in pve u will find better stuff for endgame but u can use it. I will give it a try in gms this season we will see.

As of now, I'd probably say the best move is to wait for a sale, then buy Witch Queen campaign plus the remaining seasons for it. Then probably 20th Anniversary (also on sale) and Beyond Light, if you want Stasis. (Stasis is also a grind to unlock, so no need to rush buying it.)
