OP has near 600 hours which is more than enough to be considered a 'endgame' player. It doesn't take thousands of hours to get in endgame content.
Cool
The parts of the game that everyone wants to visit are those that require groups of 3-6, and if you cannot find those people to join you, then forget it.
I yearn for an open-world PVP scenario, where weapons are similar, and no mismatch. I want a game that allows for stealth, taking as much time as you need, and no open-world closing in on you to force you into a small circle. Games that require purchases to win are getting old-fashioned and people are catching on to that. Sell a game that requires no more purchasing, but instead sell the worlds to interact on. For example: Bungie could have sold the cosmodrone as a PVP scene, then you could buy the EZR as another PVP scene...and so forth. There are always ways for a company to make money if they sit and think about it, instead of trying to dupe us out of money for 2 minute games. Stop giving away other players positions via the red on the radar, let the player use their initiative....just as in real life.
I may just look at other games, as trying to find team members is certainly not easy.
If you join clan and not interact with it, it's your problem.
If you really want open world PVP experience just play Rust or The Division
Saying all that, it still does not retract from the fact that many people are finding the same problem as myself. The game is great, but relies on teams being forged to complete certain tasks, which for some is nigh on impossible. The prices for seasons and so forth are not cheap.
The game has options for joining in on certain tasks, such as gambit, strikes, etc...without being on a team, so why not for raids? Raids require a team of up to 6 before starting. Yes, you can do them solo...if you're good enough. Why can't we do strikes ourselves in that case? instead of teaming up with some fool that just wants to run ahead to the end part.
The game is not flawless. It has inherent structural flaws that are not being addressed. I love the game but believe that us "paying" people have a right to air our views about the game. If I purchased a cup of coffee and it was half-full I would bring it back. This is no different, we cannot do certain tasks that we have paid for without having a team.
I just purchased Deadside so expect to be playing that often. However, advising others to go play another game is not the way forward. Constructive conversation regarding the issues that I, (and others), have raised, is the way forward and to a better player experience.
If the makers of destiny want to get more players they need to address the issues that are facing them, not bury their head in the sand and ignore.
Yes, it's your problem joining clans that are not active enough. You can interactive them if you have discord or destiny app.
Most of game mechanics are not really hard, if you running activity with first timers don't be surprised you gonna fail a lot. You always can take sherpa runs.
There never be mm for raids because they are build from ground up to do it with premades. If someone left you can always go to lfg and make a post that you need one and you are on this mad this. MM raids would be horrible because people would not kwtd, troll and not gonna use vc.
The game is made to have premades team. it was made to play with friends.
