What's the point of PVP
If a new player is matched against experienced player with meta weapons (the broken revolver and so on) ?

Everyone was new at PVP at one point. You gotta put your time in to get good like everyone else did.

Test your skills agaisnt other play see, play with friends, meme, I think you more so dictate what you want out of the game mode in some sense.

But ultimately to kill the other team

It's not as big of an issue as you think. I remember when I pvpd some time ago when foundry weapons were a thing. Myself and one friend were able to completely destroy a group of 4 players all with the pvp pistols and unique shotguns that weren't available in game anymore. We got like 20 kills ahead of them.
You just need to get good with good current weapons.

The point is that this isn't a ranked competitive game.

It is a casual loot based game.

The point is to have fun and get loot.
If you're not having fun, don't play the thing you don't have fun with.

The "point" is that other people do find it fun and want to spend their time having fun with it.

-pvp make people angry
-angry people ask for nerf
-things get nerf
-pve people get angry because of the nerf
-things get buff
-repeat

Honestly there's no point to do anything, The mindset though has to change to just do what interest you my friend. If the crucible is too hard just find or make friends that are bueno and learn from them, hell join a clan that does PVP. The point is to just enjoy yourself. When it comes to metta just accept the fact that there are weapons that are just too good in some seasons.

I like PvP for the game mode itself in games where the designers actually thought about progression, D2 being a progression main, just adds to the confusion. Normally you would be rewarded on "your performance", in D2 you are rewarded based on variables you cannot control - which is a poor experience.

There is also multiple types of people having to play the same games, those who just want to casually shoot on a map, dont really have a mode for them, QP has never really felt easy play. All modes in D2 were a sweatfest regardless of MM configuration...

Honestly? gear doesn't matter as much as people make it out to be, however I find that a lot of new players lack a critical skillset as Destiny plays very different from other FPS.

TDT (A Destiny clan that make videos together) did a video on this where he tried going into crucible with green/common equipment and still slayed out. He also has a fantastic video on easy to acquire free to play loadouts.

Handcannons or revolver(s) have always been strong but are relatively weak in the current meta imho (Low range vs pulses, lower TTK, etc) I'm not sure if you're struggling against a particular gun.

Last bit of advice is maybe try and get some coaching from a more experienced played (maybe record your gameplay, see what you did wrong/right and what works/doesn't work)

Do what most seem to do, buy a membership to a VPN Provider, set it to somewhere about 2000 miles from where you live and then play against those players!

game dropping into in progress and in 15 seconds 3 different guys run you over with a super, this is the kind of vomit triggering experience Bungie wants us to "stay" with. Even Blizzard knows thats not okay, and thats not exactly high bar to surpass.

PvP sucks in this game, but at thte same time, you have to try and le4arn the maps and weps. I hate PvP and have like a .25 K/D lol, but I keep trying, I am dedicating my Titan to PvP for now, til I decide to work on a Hunter.

What I have seen, is that a PvE setup will not work in PvP and Im trying to get advice to what mods and things to use. I am not a Bow/Sniper/Sidearm or Hand cannon user (im Old cant aim all that great and controller is out of the ? for me.)

So Auto/Pulse/Machine Gun/Sub Machine and Sword atm are my favs in game and Im learing. Just last week I went 15-4, was a great feeling, then I went 4-11 lol.

Just have fun, dont give up, its just a game.
