What edition should I buy?
Hi, so what edition of the game should I get? Legendary od Beyond Light deluxe edition? Does all editions include forsaken and beyond light?

No. I think Beyond Light is just Beyond light. If you buy the legendary, that includes Forsaken and the moon one.

If you just want the new abilities, Beyond Light will unlock Stasis and the ones introduced in Forsaken. If you want all the Exotics, you'll need to buy every DLC they were released under.

Which one should I buy if I want beyond light and current season? Does it worth it to buy legendary for forsaken and shadowkeep?

It's worth it to buy the Legendary Edition on sale, yes.

As to when it's not on sale ... that's a more problematic question. Shadowkeep and Forsaken are older, depreciated content. There's still fun to be had there, but they're much more likely to be vaulted at some point.

Looks like it's currently on sale for $48 USD, so ... not too bad, that's $40 USD for Beyond Light, and $10 USD for the season pass. Then Shadowkeep and Forsaken are basically being tossed in for free at the end.

So, yeah, I'd say that's worth it.

I don't know if Beyond Light comes with a season pass anymore. I think there's a deluxe version that comes with season passes?

Whether you want Forsaken and Shadowkeep depends on if you want the exotics that came with them. Forsaken has meta weapons like Izanagi's Burden and Anarchy. Shadowkeep has Xenophage.

Does the legendary edition comes with current season?

Just so you know before you buy, beyond light removed 50% of the game. The campaigns are gone, Mercury, Mars, Titan, and IO are gone as well as much of the old strikes and raids right now.

Before beyond light came out I was so happy we were finally getting enough variety for strikes to not get so repetative / boring. Then they deleted half of them.

I'm in a similar situation as OP. Do you mean that if I buy Beyond Light and install it in my client some currently available content will be locked away all of a sudden? Or do you mean that Beyond Light removed content that is already disabled for everyone no matter what?

I'm so loving what I've seen so far in the freebie base client, but clueless as to what to buy before the sale runs out. ;)

Beyond Light removed content that is already disabled for everyone no matter what. It's all in a "content vault" meaning Bungie will dust it off and give it a new coat of paint randomly after some years. We will have to wait a while. If you have never played Destiny then it is a fun and fantastic experience. The problem is always that Bungie can't create content for us fast enough and introduces bounty grinding to fill the gaps. Long time players aren't treated that well either and many have gotten fed up and feel that playing is more like a job than fun. This cycle happens every season.

Sounds familiar from other games. ;)

Thanks for the reply!
