they sent a lot of emails warning you 1 year ago.

Starting from 20 August 2019 all the way till 1 December 2020 you could transfer your battle.net account. This is no longer available.

Download it and give it a go, you very well may have clicked through and did the transfer. I thought the same thing happened to me only to login to find my old titan sitting at 1100 light. Fingers crossed :[

Well, just think of it as a new game because the changes since that moment have been massive. I´m sorry for you, but you may still enjoy this 'new' Destiny 2 (if you decide to give it another chance)
