platinum torch bearer
Hey so I am competing in the guardian games 2022 for the tankard which requires me to light two platinum torches and I have three questions on it. 1. How many medals do I need to light is and do they need to be platinum? 2. Can I just light one of them with medals and then wait for next week because I can’t do the nightfall to light the second one. 3. Do I actually need to do the whole platinum torch bearer triumph or can I just light two platinum torches. And that’s all my questions if you can answer all of these that would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Lighting two is all you need, any two. So yes you can do the medal one this week and the medal one next week, and that will allow you to purchase the tankard. I know the Competitive Nightfall is a Beyond Light one, is that why you can't do it? Maybe week 3's will be one you can do, as they're pretty much a guaranteed plat.

Each medal you deposit contributes a certain amount towards the Medallion Battalion quest, I tried to look the exact figures up but what I found just didn't match with my experience. They were saying something like, 240pts needed with bronze giving 1, silver giving 2, gold giving 3 and platinum giving 5. At 5pts per platinum, that'd need 48 platinums which it absolutely does not.

I think I hit the target this week with 6 platinum, 9-12 gold, and however many silvers or bronzes were accumulated during the acquisition of those. Maybe the figure of 240 is divided by 3 for the three weeks, 80pts sounds much closer to what I deposited.

However, no you don't HAVE to deposit platinums but they make the most significant progress.

thanks! the main reason why i cant do nightfall is bc i only have 1 dlc and i am also not power level 1550
also how long do you think it would take at most if i deposited 5 silver medals(max) 5 bronze medals(max) and like 1 gold medal mabye 2?
