Only by having console players in the same fireteam as PC players can other PC players play against them. Otherwise it's exclusively PC v PC and console v console.

The problem with controller on pc is that you cant turn off the aim acceleration ( it means that when you start moving the speed of your cam is slowly accelerating to eventualy match your thumbstic speed ) in thumbstick moves like in other games which puts you in constant input lag that you cant turn off. Try playing outriders turn off the acceleration there and turn it on. With it on its just like destiny with it off you have no delay in cam movement. This crap is here from the start of destiny and anytime i switch back after any other game this ♥♥♥♥ drives me crazy till i adjust. I think tha sadly only on elite controller you can configure it that way that it dosent feel like crap.

If you're playing PVP on PC, it'll be all PC pool of players, only way console players will be in there is if they are specifically invited onto a fireteam. Same they other way around, by default, there is no cross platform PVP because of the M&K vs controller thing. They have to be invited onto a fireteam is the only way to cross platform PVP.

From Bungie: "The short answer is that all PvE activities will have a shared matchmaking pool. But in PvP modes (including Gambit), PC players will only play with other PC players, while console and Google Stadia players will have their own pool. If you're in a pre-built fireteam consisting of PC and console players, you'll go into the PC matchmaking pool. PC players need to “specifically invite console friends to play with them in the PC Crucible pools.”

I dont have elite controller its just i watched a stream where guy had a ton of options on elite controller to configure it. If you have elite controller just look on you tube. Sadly i have normal controller and because of aim acceleration you loose 50% on aim precision. They did that option for controller potatos that have problems with controllers to not overshoot their target but also gimped veteran controller players at the same time. Dont know why bungie is so stingy on controller options. I played ton of games on pc with controller and destiny has hands down the worst and most basic controller configuration that is possible on pc.

you would just get destroyed by good controller players using chaperone, snipers and last word lol

Literally nobody “sweats” over this game aside from the people who sweat in rage over the fact that they have to go up against people better than they are some times. I know people who play with controller and regularly top-frag while half drunk and paying next to no attention. If you’re getting a 0.3 consistently then it’s not an input issue, it’s a skill issue.

Dude it depends on the mode. I dont have problem with getting kills in normal modes in crucible like controll, ib and many others. The issue arises when you try some more sweaty modes like trials. It is possible to play and do good on modes wher there is a lot of people in the match but when you need quickly and precisely acquire a target and you are gimped by artificial input lag and that 0.5 of a second of imput lag counts a lot. Not mentioning p2p also can delay your target aquisition if you are not a host than in more competitive modes input lag + host dalay makes you loose a lot. It will be always like that if you both have equal skill and start targeting eachother and opponent is a host he will always win because he will have a second of advantage over you having delay and input lag.

I literally team up for trials with somebody who plays with controller and they top frag for us almost every time. Skill issue, not input issue.

Is he on elite on normal controller because thats completely different case ? You can configure elite contoller whith huge variety of options. Completely different experience. Im talking about normal controller that you cant use external software to configure. Like i said earlier i saw a stream with a guy that was using elite and configuring it and i saw his cam work. He even bumped up look speed beyond the default max sensitivity of destiny. Difference in elite and normal controller is like razer mouse and a cheap one 5$ from the market. Not everyone will buy a controller for 150$ just to have a fighting chance in pvp but more options in game would help a lot. Other games do it so why bungie cant. [/quote]

They play on a stock USB xbox one controller. Skill issue,, not input issue.

having a pro remote is a great enhancement over just a stock xbox remote but it is in no way required this really does sound like a skill issue im sorry to say

Im talking about myself not op. I play i win i loose and know my skill celling but you can write as much as you can and you will not convince me that destiny dosent have much worse controller configuration than in other games. When i clearly see playing other games that when i turn cam acceleration of i have 100 : 100 movement ratio without that annoying input lag and when i switch on destiny i immediately starting to feel acceleration movement input lag. If you play enough you will adjust like in every game. From the start im saying that skill is a skill and input is a input and it makes a difference just like skill does. FFS watched mtashed or vanguard talking about that in high celling plays it matters a LOT. Im not high celling player and i think that im a decent pvp player but dont try to convince me that it dosent matter when it does just like having good skills. Try taking good mouse or elite controller from a top tier player and you will se that it will impact their performance. They will not instantly fall 20 tiers of skill but they will struggle much more. This gid gud crap is a very ignorant response to a problem that isnt skill related. I NEVER SAID anything about a skill but better controller configuration helps a LOT.
