This, else Bungie moved it to the mission archive kiosk near the postmaster.
I agree with OP, I think currently the game doesn't really provide any hooks for the new players. The f2p components should at least provide some incentive to get expansions, but currently f2p content is limited to couple playlist strikes/gambit/pvp maps with no context behind it, and that's hardly going to get anyone interested for long enough to consider buying the expansions.
Glad I started playing this game when the game was still "full" of content. I was F2P at that time by the way, I purchased all the DLC's at a later time.
Now is as fine a time to begin Destiny II as any other.
And I wouldn't expect them to add the story campaigns back, I think the best we can hope for is that they will add back some recycled map with minor updates for seasonal activities or something like that.
For them the removed maps now act as a contingency in case they would need to satiate the community with new content without having to actually produce a new content. Just like they did with the cosmodrome this season.
Not until they fix the thing called "sunsetting" armour and weapon. Its like GTA 5 online but u cant mod money so its take forever to grind the perfect loudout but this time, the "sunsetting" waste your time more.
