welcome to the future of destiny 2, sunsetting where all you're loved items become worthless after a certain time and you're forced to grind for the same items but with a different level cap
This bow (Subtle Calamity) is a personal favorite. Precision kills create an AOE explosion, and I'm *very* good at precision kills. Plus, the arrows also explode if you miss, which can be used against enemies behind cover. It's just a lot of fun to use, and I've never found another bow that I enjoy using nearly as much.
Are there any weapons with similar mechanics that wouldn't be affected by the level cap?
Masterworking armour...now that is costly. So they need to make that cheaper, or remove them from being sunsetted
What are the two perks you want on the bow?
Firefly\Dragonfly (Precision kills create an elemental damage explosion)
Explosive head(Projectiles create an area-of-effect detonation on impact)
https://www.light.gg/db/ is very good for finding what weapons can be found with what perks
Eg For Legendary Combat Bows

i'm fairly certain theres only 3 bows not currently effected by the power cap, whispering slab(might require shadowkeep idk) from last season, biting winds which requires beyond light and the point of the stag which you can get from the exotic kiosk. I'm not sure if any of them can roll the same perks as your current one tho
Also masterworking weapons is pretty cheap, especially compared to armor. Lastly, you can still use that bow, it will just bring your light down if you are trying to do content where that matters, like high level nightfalls. All older content, most of the open world in the new area, the strike playlist, and most of crucible/gambit are still perfectly fine to use it in.
It really is though? To masterwork a weapon from the start, it costs 10,000 glimmer, 27 legendary shards, and 17 enchancement cores. You get legendary shards every time you dismantle a legendary, which is fairly often. Enhancement cores you can get four a day from pretty quick gunsmith bounties, buy them from Spider for legendary shards, use Finest Matterweave items you may have sitting around, they aren't really rare. Masterworking armor is totally expensive, especially for someone who doesn't do higher level nightfalls, but weapons are cheap.
You should be able to use any item currently acquirable in-game up to the infusion cap, too bad bungie doesn't see it that way
Masterworking weapons is nonissue for the most part, and you can use weapons up to a year after they're (re)introduced which is plenty of time to get good use out of it.
