I’ll be honest, don’t spend money unless you know you will play the hell out of the seasonal content, I’ve done regrettable things far too frequently.
If your a free to play player this season you have access to 3 strikes, 1 was released this week, another comes in march and another will come when its bugs are fixed
but this is exactly what i wanne do...
Light and season pass = 30 bucks kinda ~ well i guess i'll decide the next couple of days
Thanks
As Hwat said, D2 is mostly a subscription service at this point. The season pass is subscription fee. $3.30 USD a month isn't terribly expensive entertainment (assuming you enjoy the gameplay).
This season includes a main quest, if you do the quest, you get the Hammer (after several steps). The Hammer isn't an inventory item, it's a quest item. You access it from your quest menu. You have to click on it, and equip the emblem (using up some Cabal Gold) in order to get (some of) the rewards.
If you've gotten as far as owning a Hammer, then you can get at least some Cabal Gold from pretty much any group activity. Even random public events will reward 5 Cabal Gold.
I'm assuming there are more mods for the Hammer that will be unlocked over time, but at present, I personally only have the basic one.
