There are 3 start points in the game... I can believe it.
I've made a new character for testing, I sarted at the Cosmodrome. the second time I logged in, I was sent to Europa, I logged out without havind done anything on Europa and was sent to Nessos against Caiatl Forces. Ridiculous...
In fact I 'm almost sure my problem comes from the fact that I entered the HELM when I was sent to the Tower after having finished the quests line of the cosmodrome before begining the quests of Beyond light/Caiatl...
1. A new character will ALWAYS start in the Cosmodrome because that's the tutorial area.
2. If you have Beyond Light, and have not yet finished the main story, the game will assume you want to do it.
3. Everyone had to do the season start quest on Nessus. Once you do it, you never get put there again.
The game will always drop you in orbit when you first log in unless there's a very specific set of circumstances met.
I just did it again with a new character and I was sent from Cosmodrome to Nessos after a log out/in.
So yeah, Cosmodrome+Europa+Nessos Battleground = 3 starting points.
I didn't say there is no reason for the game to have 3 starting points but I can assure you it's pretty real and annoying when you have no choice to refuse.
This is dumb because simple poppin' quests like " go to Europa" and "go to Nessos" would have made the trick, letting the player to travel to these planets at his own discretion.
To go back to my original point it seems that the quest "A challenger arises" doesn't pop in my questlog after having finished the introduction battleground, when I'm sent to the HELM. And strangely, it's the case for every new character I make.
