PC turns off when playing Destiny 2
Hey, ever since the last update my PC seems to just turn itself off when playing Destiny 2. I know for sure it's a destiny 2 problem as I can play any other game for 6+hours non stop and have no problem where as I can only play Destiny 2 for maybe 1 hour before it decides to turn off.

Has anyone else had this problem since the last update?

A game can crash, but not turn off a PC.
Destiny 2 might be pushing something harder than the other games, but when I PC just suddenly turns off that is normally a power supply issue, they have protections so that when something gets out of spec they shut down.

Edit: Try to help, what do you get if you don't instantly hate on the game? LOL, thanks for the Steam points.

It only happens on Destiny 2. As I mentioned my PC can be on for 6+hours a day on other games etc and no problem at all. I load up Destiny 2 after a few hours if not less of playing the PC shuts off.

Play Destiny and wait for the problem to occur and make a note of the time.

Reboot the PC and at the Desktop hold the Windows key and press R.

Type eventvwr and hit enter.

Have a look under Windows Logs>System for any error that's logged before the shutdown.

Hope that narrows the search down for you.

No problem, bud. Next time you have that happen take some screen shots of the event viewer or make notes of the event ID's. I'll help however I can.

pc shutting off? my only guess would be a pc power supply issue then as that is the only reason why it should be happening

I've got bad news for you. its not destiny 2. I had similar problem with RE4 remake but it turned out it wasn't the game or the fact i was overclocking CPU/GPU and memory. I had to do CLEAN windows install (not your typical windows reset). however save my post somewhere and when you exhaust every other possible solution then you can do what i did.

In my case I have blue screens saying errors like "System Service Exception", "irql_not_less_or_equal", "VIDEO_TDR_ERROR caused by nvlddmkm.sys".... Now I have the "System Service Exception". I have all drivers in day, no errors in my SSD and memory, etc. I can play Forza Horizon 4 with no problems 24h non stop, but now here I just can play 10 minutes more or less and I recive a blue screen. Im using Windows 11 (clean install) btw, meanwhile when I had Windows 10 I didnt have any errors like this
