Im aware, that doesnt make it less ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ though. Its kindav taunting to allow us to play any strike via playlist, but not if its a Nightfall
Mm... okay, sure, but I think you're quibbling.
My point was that having just gotten out from under Activision, and being large enough to afford their own legal department, and currently having control of a very financially successful franchise, I strongly suspect that Bungie has carefully protected themselves with regard to this deal.
Yes, they've gotten a huge support network.
To be fair, i 100% agree these people deserve to be paid. Its just kindav odd that theyd lock things like Nightfall. Every week its a different one, the problem is sometimes its one everyone can play and sometimes only those who paid more can. Its even worse that they let you play these strikes even if you dont have the dlc, just not if its nightfall. The even even worse part was when it was the lost techeun in dreaming city. Not only was it locked behind a paywall, but it also gave double loot. So people who didnt have it not only couldnt do nightfall for an entire week, but also had to relish in the fast that everyone who could was getting more stuff
Paywalls exist, always will. But to me it makes no sense for Nightfall to be one of them, especially given the circumstances
Ill probably buy Beyond Light and/or Witchqueen when i can anyways, but not everyone will, can, or even wants to. And they get screwed because of it
None said anything about not paying for others work. You never even tried.
Take any business as example. Were talking greed? OK first you need an invitation. That is actually free, but no it's not. It require a very expensive social standard, but look apart from that and say you have an invitation. Then comes an entry fee. Behold you have passed the gates and can now preview everything else you can purchase. There's even some free samples. Beware though strings may be attached, don't sign anything. You will spend a lot of time perusing the merchandise and need to revitalize while there, the consumables are 5x more expensive and you are not allowed to bring your own. Your personal purpose of being here is getting all the merchandise you need, for whatever. You don't even really know what you need, basically it's everything minus some fluff like special attire that are only for looks. I'm not going to delve deeper into it as you probably won't even read this and you have already paid beyond the market average for nothing at all.
There are many different business models. Claiming that a demo is is a full product is an outright lie. Granting limited access is merely a sale point. In a world of microtransactions the model that D2 use is outright greed and false advertising. It is like an exclusive club and majority of customers will normally turn at the door and go to the many better alternatives. Difference is that you are fooled to believe you get to experience the entire club upon entry, which is completely false. You need to pay to sit down, you need to pay for access to the bar, you need to pay to use the dancefloor, you need to pay to use the restroom.
While other sane businesses that actually want most possible customers will thrive on bar sales and optional fees that are not basic functions like breathing air. Fact is that most people are not stupid enough to pay for air. Why you are none really know, besides you probably have to much money to spend. Unlike the large majority that just want to take part in society, but are disallowed because of paywalls.
I respect your right to run an exclusive club, but I do not respect false advertising and high levels of greed even within a system I'm not partaking in. Unlike you I also speak for others.
From a normal business standpoint I speak for the majority that would want most possible customers.
The difference here is most possible profit, nevermind the dwindling customers that are constantly milked and thrive on the whales with stockholm syndrome. Returning players are severely insulted. New players are questioning wth is this nonsense.
We are moving on and you do not understand. It's ok, the problem is yours not ours. There are plenty of other games, but don't get me wrong. That doesn't mean we won't speak up against false advertising and extreme greed after being fooled into a paywall universe that is actually the worst I have yet to see.
Did I mention the crap that take all your data for analytics and profit? No, because a lot of people are blind to insanity and it is best represented in the most apparent problems like the aforementioned. There are varying levels to how much brainpower people spend on these subjects. Mostly caused by economical capacity, morals and well. General critical thinking. While others throw money around them without spending a thought, questioning why others react on those that take this opportunity to grow their greed to unfathomable levels.
You are the kind that tell a hobo to get a job and a life before spitting at the completely destroyed and neglected member of society. Take a good look in the mirror if you dare.
