Why dont more enemies try killing guardian's ghosts?
I mean it seems like alot of the combat that we do with enemies in this game seems for the most part futile on their end because we can just infinately respawn, why dont more enemies try to kill our ghosts or the stuff that keeps us alive, like the sharpshooter that killed cayde or whatever, he's like the only character I can think of that actually stopped to think to shoot the thing making the unstoppable killing machine unstoppable.

Normal weapons can't kill Ghosts. The guy who killed Cayde's Ghost did so using a Darkness infused bullet, similar to what is shot out of Thorn.

What's stopping literally every other enemy from getting darkness-infused weaponry?

Nothing after Beyond Light. Which is the reason I think we're going to be able to get something other than ghosts in the future

It wasn't a Darkness infused weapon, it was a single bullet. It would not be easy for every enemy to get their hands on a weapon that's capable of killing a Guardian.

I guess what I'm trying to say is some kind of hardcore mode or something where if you die you actually die permanantly or whatever would be an interesting twist on the game, instead of feeling like an invulnerable blueberry running around dunking on random terrified species of space people looking for another glowing purple orb.

It was a Devourer Round, which is a Weapon of Sorrow, a weapon of Darkness

That's what a restricted zone is. That's you dying & your Ghost not being able to bring you back

Not exactly what I had in mind, but I see your point.

Easy answer: because this was not marketed as a perma-death game.

Only thing that can destroy ghosts are paracasual items, guardians, darkness, and anything made by them.

If I remember correctly, the ghost of Osiris has been immoblilized when shot by a vex. Thereafter its shell was defunctional. Even if said procedure didn't kill it, it would disable the guardian's respawn on the battlefield.

Would be a fun option to make the normal gameplay less boring in my opinion, potentially offer some rewards for it or something.
