Bug with crafting whisper worm

I have unlocked the crafting of the whispering worm, but for some reason I can’t select perks on it in the “transformation” tab. I pumped it up to level 20, but all the perks still have locks and a message - “the original property needs to be improved.” Who has encountered this? I ask for help from the kind community of my favorite game.♡♡♡

You need to upgrade the intrinsic ability, 'Corruption Spreads'. There is no quest for it, it just requires you to destroy Oracles in the Whisper activity, using Whisper of the Worm. That'll give you v2, 3 and 4, which each unlock a new column of customisation, like the barrels and stocks.
