And you also have more downtime in between acts. As in an episode is current content for 4 months not 3.
It currently has 3 different activities you can do for weakly rewards and a Exotic mission.
And the story missions.
As opposed to it usually having only 2 activity's or just one and an exotic mission.
I guess you could say an episode has 50% or even 2X as much content as older seasons used to.
For example Season of defiance had Defiant Battlegrounds and Avalon Exotic mission.
Meanwhile Episode echoes has missions that resemble Defiant Battlegrounds only less copy pasted and more unique.
A time trail gauntlet whit 2 variants.
An activity that is similar to Salvage from season of the deep but 3 player only.
And an Exotic mission.
On top of all the extra story content or side objectives on nessus.
And fro all we know we might be getting even more activities by the end of the episode.
I also noticed way more craftable weapons this time.
I've been playing since the original release and it's just not freakin' worth it man. This game, this company, they're cooked. Marathon isn't even a haven for me because I fell in love with the story and philosophy exploration in those games. It had NOTHING to do with the multiplayer. Move on, look to warframe or any other game to scratch the itch. This ain't it chief.
Season pass extension, the extra 100 levels, kinda useless. There is nothing but filler loot in the latter half. The catalyst being put into the second chunk is CRINGE, having to wait to get the exotic's full potential lame as can be. There being another helmet ornament at level 200 has me with no strong feelings. Would prefer something like a chest or class item for a 1-off bonus ornament. Dunno the BD counts but I think it's a similar amount. TL;DR: Same pass stuff spread over more levels.
It's more paced out, remains to be seen if it actually helps with player fatigue.
