Icebreaker isn't particularly interesting to me, but it's still a new exotic gun.
The reprise raids aren't behind a paywall though. And, even if they were, just because bungie has a precedent for doing it doesn't change anything. (What about....?)
It's seems weird to call Bungie lazy for building a functionally new exotic just because they made it look like a D1 gun.
all the season pass exotics are available for free?
I just wish they didn't release two ammo generation exotics at the same time. Sorta makes the two fight for power in a sense. Very strange choice to release the two at the same time when one is perhaps stronger and more versatile.
I might be forgetting something but imo Icebreaker doesn't seem very tied to the Dungeon all that much if at all. Would have been nicer if the exotic was more themed to it.
Warlords had the scorn crossbow
Ghosts had the Navigator
Duality has Heart Shadow
Shattered Throne kinda has Wish Ender, sorta.
Also Pit, Prophecy, and Grasp don't (I'm not counting Xeno, or Ghorn)
Point is that those exotics make sense for the earned/associated locations.
