new player tips
Hey :)

I'm a pretty new player, i think im around 40-60 hours now (hard to know since i play on xbox as well somethimes) and i am starting to get a bit better.

Ive heard that it's good to basically focus everything on resilience but i was wondering if anyone had other tips?

Ive noticed whenever theres group activities that everyone else has like 200 kills and im on like 30 so always looking to improve :) (though now sunshot has helped with this!)

A long way to go but to keep it as simple as possible:

Resilience in PvE should be the highest stat possible because it gives you damage resistance based on how high your tier of the Stat is (T1 = 10, T5 = 50, T10 = 100, etc).
The highest damage resistance you can get with Resilience is 30%, makes it the most important Stat in PvE especially higher difficulties.

The other Stats should be based on your preferences.
Mobility: Boost Jump Height.
Resilience: (See above).
Recovery: Quicker Health regeneration.
Discipline: Shorter Grenade cooldown.
Intellect: Shorter Super cooldown.
Strength: Shorter Melee cooldown.

Each Class has it's own Ability based on the Stats:
Hunter: Dodging (affacted by Mobility)
Warlock: Healing/Empowering Rift / Phoenix Dive (affected by Recovery)
* Empowering = Damage boost on your weapons while standing in the rift.
Titan: Melee (affacted by Strength)

As for Sunshot if you like the solar explosion after a kill, there is a perk called "Incandescent" that basically does the same.

There are similar perks to Incandescent such as Firefly, Dragonfly, Chain Reaction, Destabilizing Rounds and Voltshot.
Firefly and Dragonfly requires a precision kill to be applied.

Chain Reaction and Destabilizing Rounds only requires kills.

Voltshot does not cause the target to explode but chains to other targets after the perk is applied. To apply Voltshot: Shortly after killing a target, you have to reload the weapon.

If you are over 18 you are welcome to join our clan. I was in the same boat as you a couple years ago, ended up posting a question on Reddit, this clan ended up inviting me to join and taught me a lot. Everyone is super chill and are willing to teach raids/dungeons/answer any questions you might have. Here is our Discord if you feel inclined.
