Halloween event candy not dropping

I logged on yesterday and everything was perfectly fine but today i played two games of haunted sector and i got no candy drops, and i know im not capped out because im only at 250 and i know you can go well over that, i have also restarted my game and still nothing. this is my first halloween event so im not sure if this is supposed to happen or if im just bugged. i can get candy from doing bounties but not from any npc's
