Question regarding 'Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (2024)' and 'Destiny 2: The Light & Darkness Collection'
So I have never bought any DLC for this game and haven't played it much and am planning to get into it with the current deals for the DLC on the Steam store. Which of these two should I buy, as they seem to have the same content with different price tags, and it's a bit confusing.

Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (2024) $13.12

Destiny 2: The Light & Darkness Collection $65.62

I don't understand why it's so needlessly confusing, but can anyone help me out with this? Which should I get, or is there a third option I don't know about?

Thanks!

Light and Darkness Collection contains all of the yearly expansions up to the latest, "The Final Shape", and it is the annual pass edition specifically, with its episode passes and dungeon key. While, as it says, there are two in-game things you don't get (Witch Queen and Lightfall's Dungeon Keys), it's otherwise everything that's currently available

Legacy Collection does not include The Final Shape. That's the only difference. It's everything else up until this.

As to which to buy, if you didn't know, the Year 3 campaign, 'Shadowkeep' and Year 4 campaign, 'Beyond Light', have been made free to play. So maybe play those, and if you like the gameplay and want to continue, then go for the Light and Darkness edition.
