Increasing Powerlevel Past 1960?

I recently returned to Destiny 2, and I got my powerlevel to 1960 by doing regular activities and the seasonal event.

Now the gear I'm getting seems stagnate.

What's the best activities to get my powerlevel over 1960?

From 1950-2000 you want to do activities with powerful rewards (golden icon). These include Nightfalls, Strikes, Gambit, current seasonal ritual events, 8 bounties for Banshee, Prime engrams, give 5 commendations etc.

2000-2010 is the pinnacle cap and only pinnacle rewards will increase you above 2000 (without the artefact) so raids, dungeons, 200k Nightfall, rotator exotic mission etc.

Try and not get any pinnacle right away, get the powerfuls first. Should get you to 2k pretty quick, then do pinnacles. You'll get to 2k faster if you get the pinnacles sure, but then you have to wait for next reset.
