Question about Bungie accounts

Hello! I have played a few hours (like 20) on my Steam account and unfortunately it got hacked by someone and I am locked out of community/vac and stuff like that, so I can't even see when my friends are playing.
I would like to know if I can link the Bungie account to another Steam one? I don't want to lose the progress, I leveled up a bit just to play PvP with my friend, starting from scratch again would take some time.
Is it possible something like that ?

Game data is tied to the platform account not the Bungie Account - so your characters, inventory, vault, all progress, are tied to your old Steam account. None of those things 'belong' to your Bungie Account.

If you are no longer able to use the old Steam account, then the characters and all progress, everything earned on them, are basically lost - and no, there's no way to transfer them from one account to another.

It is possible to swap around the accounts connected to a Bungie Account, but as the Bungie Account doesn't actually hold your game data, it's a moot point in this case.

Is the Steam account you're posting from the one you're referring to or is it another account that got hacked? If you're referring to this account then just add it friend as a Bungie friend and then at least you'll be able to see them online in-game.

Alright thanks, I thought the game data is linked to the Bungie account, not the Steam one, because I saw in options I can link many other platforms to the Bungie account, and lead me to think that's the main one.
So basically I'll need to start over again and farm till I can unlock PvP and all the good stuff, great...
