Red death causing low ability recharge rate.

So I was playing iron banner yesterday and felt like my ability regen sucked compared to normal. Today I was playing and it seemed back to normal I switch to Red death and my ability took ages to recharge again switched to a different pulse rifle and straight back to normal. I then realised I had been also using Red death yesterday. I just wondered if anyone else had come across this?. And for the record I was playing prismatic titan and it is also repeatable in PVE content

Crucible has less ability regen from various sources. That could be the reason.
