You will never experience a true FPS feeling with mouse input in this game because of the vertical axis is chopped off, you cant aim directly down or up, your input is in fact capped.
Then you have "Handling" in the game which lowers responsiveness on keypresses to action being done, weapon being aimable etc that also affects ADS. So you need to keep all of those things in mind for ADS in d2. There's 0 reason to have a low sens in this game, and the list of reasons why is so long i cba to list them all. AA,M, p2p2, dated engine is the tip of the iceberg here.
No worries. You also need to manually disable mouse smoothing in config file, because doing it in-game doesn't necessarily actually turn it off. There's an issue as old as the game itself with cloud/ <> local file save. Prefer local because then you can turn it off. I never got it working with cloud save off. Night and day difference.
You also can't use mouse acceleration for this game due to the game's netcode, so you just risk packet shifting, hugely annoying if one is used to mouse accel for twitch 45/90/180 sniper type shots.
This is what i mean by that even thinking about aiming in this game's pvp modes is a waste of time, just shoot in the general direction is enough, due to AA/Magnetism, netcode etc.
If they ever release destiny 3, and they haven't fixed all of the mentioned issues here, and a ton more, it won't be worth it over d2.
I can name doom emulators from the early 92-94's that had better mouse input then destiny 2.
