Too many players for this activity

I REALLY don't understand the freaking tutorial. Everything that the game tells me to do has too many players and is unavaiable. Right now I need to go to "the tower". Game says to press D. Did it. Watched that map. There's the tower.

I mean c'mon, how bad can one tutorial be? What do I do now?

are you in a fireteam? (new player) ive noticed that this game despite wanting to be multiplayer so bad constantly forces the player to do single player stuff.

Yes with my son. Oh... so it's not "too many players" in the activity, but too many in our group? Wow... a short "you cannot enter while in a group" would have been a million times easier to understand.

Because the tutorial can only be done solo.

And it was too complicated to state that somewhere or disable fireteams in the tutorial?

Destiny 2 is notorious for being really bad at conveying information. It has struggled with ushering new players into the game for years.
