Should I Come Back

I stopped after shadowkeep, and was wondering if it is worth coming back since Bungie said they are not making Destiny 3 anymore.

TLDR

- major layoffs just happened days ago
- destiny 3 was never even a startup project
- the codename payback game was a third person spinoff that went nowhere
- Bungie is rolling back future expansion plans to a all free model, low content drops
- Final Shape was a critical aclaimed success yes, but sales at release were even lower than Lightfall
- major mis-management from the top down in all aspects of the company
- Good chance that Bungie will be totally absorbed into the greater Sony sphere very soon
- they are placing all their eggs into the basket of Marathon, which nobody has any real idea what its like yet.

me personally haven't really played since shadowkeep as well but myself and a few friends booted it up again and as long as you aren't playing crucible its pretty enjoyable

People are dumb ♥♥♥♥♥. There is enough content to play for 6 months stright , every night for hours on end, and you still wont touch the surface.. This game has more to offer than anything else on the market.. If you like the the game, it has more than ever, and still is the best FPS out...

Trials needed a complete overhaul at least 6 years ago. Reward system for end content even further back. They ignored their community until they mostly got sick of the same issues and left. They then somehow scammed Sony for $3B and laid off their employees to take the money and run. The game has great graphics, though.

Unless you wanna pay for the new content which costs just as much as a whole new game I would pass you can have limited fun doing raids and crap but as someone whos played Destiny since the first game and played destiny two since Curse of Osiris was still in the game it hasn't changed at all honestly its up to you no one else

You have a point, I might have to pass on getting these new expansions, but I might get them when they are on sale. I do want to play in order to get all of the exotics.

Lightfall and The Witch Queen expansions do not include dungoen keys so you need to buy them separately (2,000 SIlver each which is $20)...other dungeons are included in the price of expansions.

As to the original question: Only way to know for sure is to install and play it and see if you feel it's worth investing time and effort in..after all, it won't cost you anything. The legacy Collection (2024) is a good price for what it includes...however, it may be cheaper if the individual ones go on sale (they were all recently on sale at a combined price of less than half the LC)

dont, they´re so thirsty for money, now that the end of destiny´s story has come to pass, the best thing you can do is watch gameplay vids on youtube, see how the stroy unfolds and forget about the game forever, the story is not that good, and the game has gone to ♥♥♥♥♥ since shadowkeep, they´re charging 20$ for a single stupid dungeon so you can get a couple of armor pieces and maybe 2 exotics, it sucks. Mayor layoffs happened earlier this week too, the ceo is buying luxury cars while he drives his most profitable game to the mud, even if you have fun in this game i´d recommend something else that at least respects you as a client.
