That's a subclass, not a class.
As a long-time main of it, I would say Hunter, especially on Void or Arc.
Void hunter has near permanent invisibility, giving you a lot of room for healing and repositioning, which is quite valuable when everything is only shooting you. It also has easy access to the Weaken debuff to increase your DPS and be useful if you enter a team situation.
Arc hunter can use what I call the "Rolly Polly" build, where you use Combination Blow (with the dodge that resets melee, thus the rolling) with Assassin's Cowl to stack melee damage super high, and go invisible on every melee kill, which lets you heal and safely get close to your next target. No one will be killstealing you denying your buffs if you are solo, so red bars die instantly, and even yellow and orange bar enemies tend to die in only a couple hits, constantly reapplying your stealth and melee damage buffs. You can use your super and weapons to deal with bosses or any other enemies that can't reasonably be meleed. Once you have Prismatic (acquired from the story of the most recent DLC), a version of this build works there too, and its great to have extra sources of stealth and to poop out strand bombs after every melee kill too.
I'm sure other people will say other classes though, as mentioned there are ways to make most any class work solo, you just need to generate something that will keep you alive when everything is trying to kill you, whether that is Devour or Regeneration or Woven Mail or what have you.
