Timeline reflection, is it really necossary?

Just tank a minute and think about this.
Lighfall, Witch Queen, & Beyond Light are all still available and playable in the game right now.
Forsaken is the only one that isn't.
Who spent the time to put this together and didn't spend the time adding the stuff we care about?

This leads me to believe that its not a matter of can they can't they, but something else instead.
We still haven't gotten any clear answers on why the game is being handled this way. the lack of transparency here alone should be enough of a reason to not trust bungie.

Edit: So I was an idiot and forgot about new players, so this is basically a free demo from them...

I haven't looked into the system since I've played everything myself, but I assume the point is for newer players so they don't have to buy and play all the expansions just to have an idea of whats going on. It fits with their stated goal of wanting new players to be able to play with old players quickly.

Its to catch up on the broad stokes of the story without actually having to do / own the campaigns.

ok so I forgot about new players, and now I feel stupid. doesn't change the fact that a lot of people are still upset that large portions of the game are missing.

Any case, if a mod can lock/remove or do what ever with this thread, that would be great as I don't think this post is needed anymore. (why doesn't steam allow people to delete their own post?)
