Can play just 2 player co-op?

Can this game be played entirely with just 2 players and without other players? Just 2 player co-op.

In patrol spaces you'll see other players around, but can otherwise play in a duo just fine.

In matchmade activities it'll automatically matchmake you with other players (Strikes/Crucible/Gambit, non-private Breach Executable & Enigma Protocol, and other things like that).

In non-matchmade activities such as dungeons and higher-difficulty Nightfalls, you *can* play duo but the difficulty will be higher since you're not running the activity in a full fireteam.

The highest tier endgame content like raids are more or less impossible to do with only 2 players as the mechanics sometimes require more. otherwise you don't really need more than 2 people.
