Is Lightfall worth it for a returning player?

Sad that I missed so much time away from the game and unsure of what I should get to get back into it. Is Lightfall worth getting for a returning player?

Please advise.

Lightfall is not the most relevant expansions anymore. It's kinda okay if you want to catch up on the story (though its not very good for Lightfall specifically), but I would recommend getting The Final Shape instead if you are returning.

I bought Legacy collection last week. Mostly similar to other expansions, purple/exotic guns missions, old and new public events. Mainly for strand super tho.

I found the 2024 Legacy collection for $22 Alongside The Final Shape + Annual pass for $60 which is the only reason i picked up the legacy collection with it for the price tag. I wanted to get back into the game on PC and was having issues with linking my account so i started fresh on steam. All DLC's in my opinion are a must to get the full experience. Exotics and purples are locked behind the games DLC. as well as New Classes/Subclasses. If you can get it for the right price then go for it. I believe all the DLC is on sale right now and its cheaper to get them all individually then get the collection for the Steam Price tag.

for story? no, hard skip. I can summarize the whole thing in one sentence right now: ♥♥♥♥ happens on neptune that doesn't matter, Calus dies, and the witness opens the portal into the traveler. that's it.
for gameplay? I mean its good, but not as good as witch queen or final shape in my opinion.
for strand? yes. the subclass is the only redeaming quality about lightfall to me and its worth getting the expansion(when its on sale) just for that(even if getting all the fragments is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and a half)
