nothing

First you should focus on unlocking all your skills which Ikora will give you enough to do for and some starter exotics as well. Than do your daylie banshee quests as they provide you with the essential materials for further progress.

Afterwards you can check your pathfinder for your main targets the 3 pathfinder rewards per week. it will tell you what you have to do in which way to reach the last reward of it and mostly it will tell you where you have to do those objectives. Goal is to find the objectives you feel most comfortable to achieve to progress to the end rewards. Alongside you gain loot from crucible gambit and vanguard mission strikes. with a decent powerlevel you might also be interested in completing the daylie lost sector as it rewards more exotic weapons for you but it will be hard. Other than that dreaming citys bountys from Pedra can be recommended to not only gain some loot and easy glimmer but also to improve your game skills.

If you feel like something really is interesting for you you can just stick to it and play it until it bothers you ^^

the strange coins can be used to get more loot from Xur in the tower each weekend and are rewarded for completing gambit, vanguard strike playlists and crucible matches.

If you stil need something other to do you can go for dungeons and raids which however will need a group to solve.

When i read the word grinding, i think of things that's not fun but you do it for a reward.
I would say play what is fun. When you do that you will know after a while what to grind for, a reward that makes the fun stuff even more fun.

your guardian rank, until you get access to armor mods you're not going to be able to enjoy doing higher end content anyways. Look for armor with a stat total of at least like 65, with as few points in mobility and intellect as possible.

do public events to get used to the gameplay loop and gather the basic needed resources, mainly glimmer, then do normal vanguard playlist, then get a clan and go from there, they will guide you further

also when you equip a ghost bottom left of youre inventory, look for a ghost mod called wombo combo it will show you all resources and chests within a 50 meter range while exploring

Do the Shadowkeep campaign as hunter for the Assassin's Cowl exotic to turn your arc hunter up to 11. This makes grinding difficult stuff solo much easier.

Learn how to play the other hunter subclasses too. Void tether is helpful for deubffing raid bosses. Stasis hunter has one of the best supers for pvp imo. Solar can do great boss damage, practice landing golden gun shots perfectly.

Just take your time, mate, don't feel like you need to rush. It's definitely a marathon, not a sprint.
