Questions about Lightfall + Annual Pass

Hello.

I have never played Destiny 2 before, however, I am looking to purchase the Destiny 2: The Story So Far bundle on Humble Bundle.

The highest tier costs $53.74 CAD and contains the following content:
Lightfall + Annual Pass
The Witch Queen
Beyond Light
Shadowkeep
Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack
Forsaken Pack

The second-highest tier costs $26.87 CAD and contains all of the above content with the exception of the Lightfall Annual Pass (it still contains Lightfall itself).

The price difference between the highest tier and second-highest tier is $26.87 CAD, thus valuing the Lightfall Annual Pass at $26.87 CAD.

Regardless of which tier I choose to buy, I will most likely not begin playing Destiny 2 until after The Final Shape is released (June 4, 2024 release date).


If this is the case, I have the following questions:

Will I receive any Lightfall Annual Pass content if I start playing after The Final Shape is released?

Is the Lightfall Annual pass worth the $26.87 CAD price difference?

After Final Shape releases, the only content that will remain in the game to access which you would need Lightfall's annual pass is Lightfall's dungeon key, which grants access to two dungeons, Warlord's ruin and Ghosts of the Deep. If you buy the cheaper edition, in the future you will have to buy this key separately for 2000 silver. You can see for yourself how much it would cost at a store in your region

The annual pass unlocks specific dungeons and rank up rewards. If you don't start playing until after The Final Shape releases, you might have access to the dungeons(not sure on this one), but you will not be able to get any of the rank up rewards. The RUR are only eligible during its season.

Yes, all 4 of the current seasons is worth that price - as opposed to the normal price of about $50 CAD or whatever - and they'll come with the Dungeon Keys necessary for Ghosts of the Deep and Warlord's Ruin. Consider that you can no longer get the premium-tier rewards from the season passes for Seasons 20-22 (inclusive), just season 23's.

However, you'd more or less need to start playing now to get the bast bang for buck and to make good on whatever loot/rewards/triumphs/etc. you can still get for seasons 20-22.

Otherwise, don't bother, save the $27 and use it towards something else. Elden Ring might go on sale again when its DLC comes out, inevitably, at some point this year. lol.

Edit: check and make sure that the Dungeon Key is worth buying now - included in the Annual pass - and that the two current dungeons might be thrown in with the Lightfall expansion after TFS launches. If the latter check is true, then you're good to wait... otherwise, the pricing for the dungeon key might be worth the $27 now (I think it's 2000 silver for a dungeon key, and I'm not clear on whether you need one for both dungeons or one for each).
