I have full access to the latest season pass even though I didn't pay for it. What happened?

I just wanted to bring attention to this. For some reason when I logged in, I had full access to the season pass even though I didn't pay for it. Is this a bug?

I finished a random moon mission and then all of a sudden I got the same pop ups, I took all of the loot I just hope this isnt a glitch and they gave out the season pass for free

They recently allowed free pass for all three expansion packs until next month. It might be a bug

If I had a nickel for every time I got a season for free in this game, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. XD

(I got Season of the Arrivals for free before the launch of Beyond Light and that was tied to a bug where Shadowkeep previously gave you the current season for free.)

Along with the expansions being open to everyone, the activities from this past year's Seasons are also completely open to everyone. Was playing on an alt account that's spent nothing in over a year and got the Season Pass unlocked, so that was what I assumed happened, but[gamerant.com]:

"In addition to the expansions, all the seasonal content from Destiny Year 6 is available to all players. This includes the Season of Defiance, the Season of the Deep, the Season of the Witch, and the Season of the Wish. All players who play through these expansions and seasons will be able to keep the weapons and gear they have earned after the free period. "

I believe it is also seasons that are free, in the email that I got it says the DLC plus all four seasons. If it is full, I would assume it is because you have maxed out the pass on the normal track.
