Custom Loadout issue..
If i have a loadout with a weapon saved, say i use Sunshot on that build but i have Sunshot equipped on a different character, the loadout manager just says it cannot find this weapon..

Is this a known bug or something? And before you ask, yes the character with the weapon in question equipped has another legendary in the slot so double exotics aren't the reason it can't be pulled

DIM can't do it either, it requires you have at least 1 free vault space, so it moves the item to your vault and then to your next character. The ingame system just doesn't have that functionality, not a bug but an oversight

Possibly a different copy of sunshot that isn't the "original" sunshot when you made the loadout? That's the only thing I can think of

Nah to be specific, it is my mountaintop. I only have one of them, i have equipped it on all characters and saved the loadout but as soon as a different character, say my hunter, equips it. I can no longer swap to my warlock and equip it as it can't find it.

As soon as it goes to the vault then it finds it straight away.. so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying

So hold on...you have weapons SAVED on a character (class for simplicity) that you want to switch to a different class's loadout? (from hunter to warlock as you say)

That makes sense, loadouts can only pull from what is in the inventory/vault, it isn't like DIM where you can swap from character to character

But my issue is why does it just show it with a question mark and not even remind me what it is but grey it out?
Why can a 3rd party app do a better job than the actual inbuilt method.. makes no sense that it can instantly pull it from a vault or spare character slot but can't move it from the character itself, save for if i had no other weapons in the slot or too many exotics equipped, that i could understand and forgive but this is just dumb.

It can only see the items in your loadout if they are in your backpack as far as I know. I use DIM to move the items I need for that.

yeah it cant move from character to character.
i often use this to stop it pulling a gun i dont want thats saved on a loadout. seriously dk why tf we cant just save loadouts without guns.

Someone said to fix that, pull white weapons to save the loadout, then dismantle the weapons.

true, but if you want to make an edit to the loadout then you've gotta do it all over again :/
such a pain
if we had more loadout slots so im not constantly saving my dim loadouts in game then it wouldnt be an issue

This is true, but honestly, how often do you edit your loadout?
If you don't want your weapons in the loadout, you're going to be moving them about after selecting the loadout anyway, so I just use DIM to get what I want if not what I have. My loadouts have different weapons to complement the loadout anyway so not much to worry about there for me other than sometimes needing to use DIM to pull something from another character.

Having more loadout slots I guess would help, I certainly wouldn't be against having more.

There are basically no better choices for a kinetic special weapon this season than mountaintop and i have a god roll so im gonna use it on all 3 characters, this is a flawed system especially when a 3rd party can do it so much easier

We don't all think we must have a special in the kinetic slot, I typically have that in the energy slot and like using Wish Ender for kinetic slot.

The third party was only working on their app, not the rest of the game.
